SEO and Tech Daily: Stats, Reality and Google's New Tool

This does sound like a good tool for advertisers since each other company is about 100-300 hits different in my experiences. Having a Search Engine Giant like Google to check the hit/pageview of a potential customer could save a company possibly thousands of dollars imho...

As far as I'm concerned, Google never made any promises about monetizing their offerings, whether it be Google Maps (which are everywhere), or for the most part, anything else. (Of course, you probably don't feel that way if you work for ComScore right now). If Google wants to grow, they have to look at 'what they have' and not count on what someone could potentially replicate later. There will be mixed responses to this by advertisers, PPC consultants, and others. Google's upcoming challenge? The same thing that Microsoft has dealt with for years. Some of their biggest allies will, at least on the surface, appear to turn on them to pacify their own clients.

I don't have any more details (and I haven't read any anywhere else) other than those at the Official Google release (link above). For now, if you're an active Adwords client, I'd grab an invitation there.

Update: I am currently logged on to the new Google Ad Planner (Really nice at first blush!) and will post a review hopefully by this weekend.
