    Great post, and I think you are definitely onto something, putting the focus on the smaller companies/developers. Distributed development? Why not?!?! The Interwebs are a LOT more enjoyable (and useful) when it's users exchange and interact. I'm still wrapping my brain around most of this, and am having difficulty articulating it just yet, but I'm definitely staying tuned as this, uh, develops.
